Information for parents
Personal Data Protection Act (WBP)
The Dutch Personal Data Protection Act regulates the safe storage and provision of personal data. Within its framework, the HU Enrolment Office has to be cautious in supplying information and documents about our students. If your son or daughter is 18 years of age or older, the law disallows us to supply information about him or her to third parties. This includes employers, but also you as a parent. However, if you act as guarantor for the payment of your son or daughter’s tuition fees, the HU Enrolment Office is allowed to provide information to you about payment of the tuition fees.
Third Party Authorisation
Should your son or daughter be unable to arrange his or her own enrolment and/or other enrolment-related matters, for instance because he or she is abroad, he or she can authorise you or another person to act upon his or her behalf. To do so, please use the form below.
Third Party Authorisation 2011-2012
The document needs to be filled out and signed by both parties. Send the form by regular mail to: Hogeschool Utrecht, Enrolment Office, P.O. Box 8218, 3503 RE Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Please note: it is not possible to authorise another person if you are paying the tuition fees yourself. An authorised third party has to fil in their account details or stand surety for payment.
