International Communication and Media (ICM) offers a programme aimed at preparing you for international professional practice. Students and staff come from over seventy countries. You will work in small, international mixed project groups. You wil be trained for positions of communication and media professional in a company, public office or agency. ICM is different from similar Dutch language programmes in its specific orientation on the global market, the international aspect of all courses and activities, and its wide range of covering communication management, digital communication and media.
The specialisation already starts in the first year and is therefore referred to as "profile". At enrolment must already be indicated that you want to follow this direction. You can’t choose for this direction later on in the course. The course leads to a Bachelor's degree Communication Systems.
You will be trained for positions of communication and media professional in a company, public office or agency. Functions range from press officers, technical writers, public relations consultants, publishers, interface designers, event managers, to co-ordinators of advertising campaigns and media planners.
A four year (Digital) Communication and Media Studies programme taught in English, that combines communication management, digital communication and media studies.
You need to obtain a certain number of credits in your first year of registration, in order to be admitted to the main phase of studies. Each year you can obtain 60 ECs. At the end of your first year of registration, you will receive a study advice. If you have obtained fewer than 50 ECs, you will receive a binding negative advice and you will not be allowed to continue your studies.

The course has more aspects than just communication and media. Among other things, there are possibilities to work for an international company. In spite of the international aspect, the course is still personal.
